Tennis Valley is a cool and modern tennis and padel court built in 2022. They were built in Plunge by the family of our client Meda, who has her own family business. We got to know Meda through paslagos.lt, when she was looking for programmers who could create a reservation system and an electronic store for these padels. Meda had a limited budget for this system, as Tennis Valley is a public institution, so the candidates for the development of this system had to think about how to fit into that budget.

Problem/Objective

Meda immediately told us - Tennis Valley will not have traditional cards after all - they will have to be automated. In other words, there will be practically no employees in Tennis Valley. Entry to the building, purchase and collection of goods and appointment booking will be contactless with employees. OK, I thought it would be interesting - we have a limited budget and need to create an automated system for booking, purchasing + picking up goods and entering the building.

The solution

Like all other projects, we started this one from the analysis stage. We drew the system logic, discussed it with Meda and created the system architecture. After it was approved, we got to work. We created a unique website design, prepared an administrative environment where it was possible to manage reservation times, products, their categories, orders, users, news and pitches. In short, everything you need for successful automatic padel management!

The most difficult part of the system was, of course, the management of reservations, because we had to solve a series of twisted cases. For example, what if a visitor books an appointment but doesn't pay for it? After a certain time, we have to restore the delayed times as free. Or another case - two athletes book the same time at the same time. We also needed to create a convenient administrative management that would allow quick changes to reservation times and prices.

Another interesting feature of this system was the presentation of the door code to the visitors. So that they can enter the building when they have time, we send them a unique door code.

Result and benefit

From the launch of the system until the end of 2022, about 160 athletes and about 500 goods and reservation orders were served. For newly built cards, I'd say a great start! Tennis Valley avoided hiring administrators to work in the building, so with this system they saved a good thousand euros a month. The system paid for itself in a few months

The future

Meda is so far completely satisfied with the created system and does not foresee expansion yet, although there are already ideas! One such idea is automated product pickup. We should provide the customer with an automatically generated door code that, when entered into the smart storage box, will open and allow them to pick up their purchases. This smart box would send the same code to this system. OK, maybe it sounds complicated, but to make it easier to understand, you can imagine the same principle as how post machines work. Sounds like an interesting challenge!

The creators of Versalios are two friends - Edvinas and Paulius. The two have known each other for many years and are no stranger to the business world and sales in particular. Their latest project is a tipping solution. This project was already in motion when they contacted us through an acquaintance from the crypto project Mars4, at which we contributed.

So we contacted Edvinu and Paul and immediately knew we would complement each other - we already had a tip collection solution and they had about ten restaurants. We negotiated and agreed - we program this solution for free, we get a small share of the Versailles company and, more importantly, access to restaurant owners to talk to about our product ababa.bar.

Problem/Objective

At the beginning of our cooperation, Edvinas and Paulius (hereinafter E and P) had built the tip collection system on WordPress. It was clear to everyone that WordPress would not last long, because already with ten restaurants there were a lot of problems. And a few more had to come right away. A new system was needed here and now!

Well, E and P confirmed our conclusion that contacting restaurant owners and offering them technological innovations is like offering insurance to an eighteen-year-old (kind of hard!). With this in mind, the system we have developed will require as little attention as possible from restaurant owners and waiters. The system will have to be as automated as possible!

The solution

We started working suddenly! We created an unpolished but well-functioning initial version (we call it MVP) that replaced the old system based on Wordoress. At the time, the old system was completely on its toes - sometimes it wouldn't accept a tip, sometimes it wouldn't tip at all.

After launching our system, some flaws appeared. We quickly needed to connect English language support, tipping staff, registration for new waiters and a number of other functionalities. Well, nothing, we made a list of priorities and took it and did it, so to speak.

After creating the missing functionalities, we polished the system for several months until we reached a stable and neat version. The restaurant managers were satisfied, Edvinas and Paulius were also satisfied. That made us happy too, of course!

Result and benefit

After polishing the project and a little earlier, the representatives of Versailles just started picking up new restaurants like… uhm like mushrooms after the rain, wow! Picked up a lot of restaurants, bars and cafes, because the guys came up with great pricing, solved the GPM tax problem. Or to put it another way, solved all the doubts that the owners had.

Currently, more than 30 restaurants in Lithuania use Versalios, and this list is growing every week. I don't want to say anything, but for an unfunded startup, such an achievement in half a year is huge!

And we are very happy to contribute to this project, because all projects related to bars and restaurants mean serving beer and snacks! Programmers love it so much!

The future

Versalios is well on its way to becoming a well-known tip collection solution in Lithuania and abroad! Edvinas and Paulius are actively looking for funding in order to make this system N times popular in the 2023 season. Vieną vasaros vakarą aš su keliais ababa.tech darbuotojais sėdėjome Šiauliuose esančiame Rock ‘N’ Roll Pub’e, kuris tuo metu buvo pilnas žmonių. Mūsų nuomone, tai geriausias bariukas Šiauliuose, tai mes niekur kitur eiti negalėjome. Žodžiu, norėjome užsisakyti alaus (o kaip kitaip). Teko laukti 20 minučių vien tik kad atneštų meniu. Tada dar pusvalandį, kol atneš gėrimus. Kažką reikėjo daryti! Tai taip, kaip plaktukai visur mato vinis, taip mes, programuotojai, visas problemas sprendžiame kodais. Ši problema mums buvo niekuo neišskirtinė, iškart sugalvojome daryti ababa.bar!

Problem/Objective

Taigi, kokia ta problema? Ehm logiška, alaus negalima laukti valandą! Tai profesionaliau įvardinus skamba taip – sumažinti laiką, kurį turi laukti klientai su išdžiuvusiomis burnomis, atvykę į barą iki kol gauna savo gėrimus ir užkandžius. OK, problema aiški, kaip tą sprendžiam?

Hmmm, mums reikia atlaisvinti padavėjus, kad jie galėtų aptarnauti daugiau lankytojų per tą patį laiką. Skamba lengvai? Kreipėmės į pažįstamus, kurie dirbo padavėjais ir išsiaiškinome, kad maždaug pusę savo laiko, jie praleidžia dalindami meniukus ir priimdami mokėjimus.

Vadinasi, su tinkama programa, galėtume sumažinti padavėjų laiką 50%???? Čia gi nesamoningai daug. OK tai darom tą programą!

The solution

Tai ir pradėjome kūrimą. Trukome beveik metus, mat dirbome iš lėto, po savo samdomų darbų ir savaitgaliais. Sukūrėme Android’ines ir iOS programėles lankytojams, atskirą programėlę darbuotojams ir internetinę valdymo sistemą įstaigos vadovams.

Lankytojų programėlėje, lankytojai gali peržiūrėti meniu, atlikti užsakymą ir atsiskaityti. Darbuotojų programėlėje matosi šie užsakymai, kuriuos darbuotojai pagamina. O vadovo sistemoje matosi visi užsakymai, meniukų valdymai, kainos, darbo valandos ir panašūs dalykėliai.

Padarėm šitus ir dar N smulkesnių funkcionalumų. Sakom, nu ką reikia kalbėtis su restoranų savininkais ir duoti jiems naudotis platforma. Keli barai / restoranai parodė susidomėjimą, bet kadangi tuo metu buvo kovidas, sakė – o kaip mums patikrinti, ar lankytojai turi galimybių pasus? OMG!

Nu tai ką, darom galimybių paso integraciją, kad lankytojai galėtų įkelti galiojantį G. Pasą, kurį mes automatiškai patikriname programėlėje ir jei pasas yra galiojantis, tada leidžiame pateikti užsakymus.

Tada vienas viešbutis sako, o galite padaryti, kad būtų galima užsakyti produktus iš viešbučių kambarių? Kitas restoranas sako, o gal galite renginius padaryti? O gal galite padaryti, kad atsiskaitytų per mūsų sistemą? O gal galite padaryti, kad mūsų brandingas būtų? O gal galima arbatpinigius surinkti ir padalinti tarp darbuotojų, kurie tuo metu dirbo? O galite sugeneruoti automatines sąskaitas? Bada bing,bada boom – Visus šiuos ir dar krūvą kitų poreikių įgyvendinome!

Result and benefit

Ir kaip manote, kas nutiko? Nieko, restoranai sakė, nu gal po kovido / čia mums daug integruoti / per daug mokėti ir pan. Galiausiai niekas nenorėjo mūsų belekaip gerai sukurtos platformos. Ėch…  supratome savo pamoką. Mes esame puikūs sistemų programuotojai, bet absoliučiai nevykę marketingistai. Va čia tai karti piliulė, kurią reikėjo nugurkti be jokio užsigėrimo, hehe. Sudėjome apie 30 tūkstančių į šį projektą. Tiek kainavo ši pamoka.

Beeet, šie pinigai, mūsų prakaitas ir įdėtas laikas nenuėjo šuniui ant odigos. Mes prisikūrėmę daug kodo, kurį galėjome panaudoti kituose projektuose, įgavome daug patirties ir pasitikėjimo savomis jėgomis ir, svarbiausia, išdrįsome šį hobį paversti į kompaniją. Taigi, jei norite sužinoti, kiek kainuoja pradėti IT verslą? Mums – 30 tūkstančių ir metus laiko.

Kalbant apie pačią programėlę, po daug komunikacijos, galiausiai įkalbinome PJazz restoraną pateikti savo meniu per mūsų platformą. Visiškai nemokamai, bet smagu, kad mūsų įdėtą darbą įvertino toks tinklas!

The future

Mes esame visiškai įsitikinę, kad Lietuvoje greitu metu bekontaktis pietavimas taps populiarus. Jau dabar matome, kad restoranai greitai adaptuoja arbatpinigių palikimus be grynųjų pinigų ir savo meniukų rodymą online. O čia yra tik pora iš kokių dvidešimt mūsų sukurtų funkcijų. Mes netgi paleidome atskirą projektą Versalios, su partneriais, idant galėtume surinkti arbatpinigius, kodą juk turėjome! Paskaitykite apie Versalios projektą plačiau.

Sandra yra Sandvikos įmonės savininkė, turinti apie 500 aktyvių klientų Oslo regione Norvegijoje. Sandvika teikia valymo paslaugas fiziniams ir juridiniams klientams. Sandvika dirba nuo 2014 metų.

Problem/Objective

Sandvikos direktorė Sandra susipažino su mumis per platformą paslaugos.lt su prašymu modernizuoti jų sistemą. Sandvikos sistema buvo neįtikėtinai gremėzdiška, turėjo 80–90% nenaudojamų / neveikiančių funkcijų ir nebuvo saugi. Pavyzdžiui, darbuotojai galėjo pasiekti sąskaitų faktūrų puslapius ir kurti naujas sąskaitas ir siųsti jas bet kam. Negana to, Sandra už tai turėjo mokėti beveik 1000 eurų per ketvirtį. Ir tai buvo ne plataus naudojimo sistema, o specialiai Sandvikai sukurtas sprendimas už dešimtis tūkstančių eurų. Be to, Sandvikos sistema buvo taip stipriai sumakaluota, kad kūrėjai tiesiogine prasme atmetė prašymus tą sistemą patobulinti.

Iš pradžių Sandra paprašė mūsų padaryti atnaujintą sistemos kopiją, kad sutaupytume tą tūkstantį eurų už ketvirtį, bet greitai suprato, kiek paprastesnė ir geresnė jos sistema gali būti. Tada jos tikslas tapo sukurti tokią sistemą, kuri automatizuotų jos administracinį darbą, sutaupytų jos ir administratorės laiką! Dargi, Sandvika išsikėlė tikslą šį verslą automatizuoti beveik 100%, idant ji galėtų skirti pastangas valymo įmonių frančizės kūrimui.

The solution

Kaip visada, pradėjome darbus nuo planavimo etapo. Ilgai netrukome, kol supratome, kad sistemos logiką reikia iš esmės pertvarkyti. Po kelių planavimo susitikimų su Sandra supratome, kad jai reikia dviejų pagrindinių modulių – planuoti valymo darbus ir automatizuoti sąskaitų faktūrų siuntimą.

Kai šias dvi funkcijas baiginėjome, štai ką Sandra mums pasakė: „Iš pažiūros sistema atrodo per paprasta. Jei tai iš tikrųjų veiks, būsite nuostabūs! negaliu patikėti, kad tai tiesa – sistema bus tokia paprasta“. Su tokia šilta paskata toliau kūrėme sistemą ir planavome tolimesnius modulius – jungimą su apskaitos sistema, licencijų pardavimas, darbuotojų laiko valdymo, sandėlio valdymo moduliai.

Mums prireikė dar kelių mėnesių, kol įgyvendinome šiuos ir kitus modulius bei atlikome krūvą patobulinimų. Galiausiai nušlifavome sistemą ir Sandvika perėjo iš senosios sistemos į naująją.

Result and benefit

Neskaitant akivaizdaus sutaupyto 1 tūkstančio eurų per ketvirtį, Sandra, įmonės vadovė, iš tikrųjų atsidūrė vadovės, o ne administratorės pareigose. Sandra yra patenkinta savo nauja sistema, nes jos krūvis sumažėjo trečdaliu. Lygiai taip pat svarbu ir tai, kad sistemos valdymas tapo daug patogesnis ir gražesnis!

The future

Mes su Sandra toliau aktyviai plėtojame šią sistemą, planuojame naujus modulius ir padedame Sandrai siekti jos frančižės tikslo! Konkrečiai, planuojame pridėti galimybę valdyti objektų nuotraukas bei video, sukurti klientų aplinką, kuris leistų valymo darbus valdyti pačiam klientui. Taip pat – chat’ą tarp klientų ir administratorių, daugiau atsiskaitymo būdų klientams.
